Theo Walcott announces retirement from professional football at 34


English footballer Theo Walcott announced his retirement on Friday. Walcott joined Arsenal in 2006 from Southampton at the age of 17 for an initial fee of £5 million.

Walcott won three FA Cups with Arsenal and made 397 appearances for the Gunners scoring 108 goals across all competitions.

He made 47 appearances for England, featuring throughout the Three Lions’ 2012 European Championship campaign.

He made his debut in a 3-1 win against Hungary in 2006.
