Holliman has been on a serious roll: He was all over Jason Day (+1800) as a top contender at the Byron Nelson before the Australian’s first victory in more than five years. He also nailed Tony Finau (+850) as his top choice at the Mexico Open, and longshot play Eric Cole (+10000) posted a top-five finish.

One player Holliman is confidently backing this week is Cantlay. “His performance at Muirfield is uncanny,” the expert says, but that isn’t the only reason he is backing the 2021 FedEx Cup champion. The 31-year-old has finished in the top 10 in six tournaments since mid-February, including the PGA Championship despite shooting an opening-round 74. He has eight tour victories, the most recent in August at the BMW Championship, and Holliman says “Cantlay is ready to win again.” He has finished in the top four in four of the past five Memorial Tournaments.
On the flip side, Holliman has no confidence in McIlroy and is fading the four-time major champion. The Northern Irishman showed signs of life at the PGA Championship, where he tied for seventh. He also won the CJ Cup in October, but his game has been wildly inconsistent since. The 34-year-old was a runner-up at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and finished third at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play, but has finished outside the top 25 five times in nine tour events this season.
