Bilawal-led committee to discuss about Pakistan’s CWC participation in India


The committee formed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss Pakistan’s participation in the World Cup 2023 in India will hold its inaugural meeting on Thursday. 

The meeting, which will be presided over by FM Bilawal Bhutto, the committee’s head, and will also have Zaka Ashraf, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee, in attendance.

During the meeting, the committee will deliberate on Pakistan’s involvement in the mega-event tournament in India and specifically review Ahmedabad as the venue for the much-anticipated Pakistan vs. India clash. 

The 14-member committee comprises various ministers and advisors, including the foreign minister, interior minister, law minister, Inter-Provincial Coordination minister, information and broadcasting minister, adviser on Kashmir affairs, adviser on Establishment, foreign secretary, PSPM, as well as representatives from secret agencies and sensitive departments.

After the meeting, the committee will submit its recommendations to the Prime Minister, who will make the final decision regarding the country’s participation in the mega event.
